In the present investigation, we examined vegetable growing as a potential material for environmental education, especially by utilization of natural and resional resources. And it was shown to be a suitable hands-on learning experience in terms of vegetable growing using containers. (1) The growth of komatuna growing on the soil added 20% Kogastone producted in Niijima island, Tokyo, was 1.1-1.2 times vigourous than contorol. (2) The growth of spinach, kyona and radish growing on the soil added 15% worm-gold were 1.1-1.4 times vigorous than contorol.
