The absorption spectrum of its aqueous solution has three maxima 644.8,586.8,and 314.4nm. On dialysis, the blue pigment was impermeable through a cellulose membrane, as in the case of proteodelphin and commmelininn. The blue pigment contains magnesium as a metal component, but not manganese, aluminium, zinc, calcium or iron. The blue pigment was sug-gested to be composed of delphinidin 3-O-[6-0-(p-coumaroyl)-β-D-glucopyra-noside] -5-0-[4-O-acetyl-6-O-malonyl-β-D-glucopyranoside] , apigenin 7-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl- (1'''⟶4'') β-D-glucopyranoside-4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside and magnesium. The results show that the blue pigment from Salvia uliginosa is the fourth metallo-anthochyanin following commmelininn from blue flowers of Commelina communis, protocyaninn from blue corn flower, Centaurea cyanus, and protodelphin from blue flower, Salvia patens.}, pages = {1--6}, title = {サルビア・ウリギノーサ (Salvia uliginosa) の青色花弁由来の新しいメタロアントシアニン}, volume = {33}, year = {2002}, yomi = {ミズナガ, タケミツ and サワムラ, メグミ and ヨシオカ, サトミ and ムラカミ, ムツロウ} }
