The main purpose of conventional student rating has been considered to be for teachers to obtain data to improve their course management. The significance of the activity, however, should not be limited to accumulating such suggestions. Investigating the kinds of opinions that students hold and demands that they make is nothing less than protecting the right of opinion manifestation which is one of the basic human rights of the child. It can also be considered that this is an important part of the curriculum which encourages students' self training to develop their democratic citizenship.
